OUTFIT #28: Firmoo in Camden Town

Top - Pimkie
Trousers - Topshop
Coat - H&M France
Scarf - no idea sowwiiie!
Chelsea Boots - Asos
Sunglasses c/o Firmoo.com
Today I give you a very chilly outfit post and a product review from the streets of Camden Town, with a side order of sorry. I've had a lot on my plate (har har) with rehearsals for my monologue infront of 50 very talented drama students being all I ever thought/worried/sobbed about.

So onto my review of these gooorggeous sunnies. When Firmoo contacted me, I have literally never wanted to be a glasses-wearer more, I just think they look so cool and, well...indie. They frame a person's face, ya know? I want my face framed. Anyway, they have the most gorgeous selection of glasses, and to my delight, an equally beautiful amount of sunglasses! (yipeey!) So I chose these round ones which I'd seen the likes of on lots of blogs and catwalks in the past few months, and I have to tell you they are such wonderful quality, I've never owned such a luxurious pair of sunnies! They fit my head perfectly and I especially love how they look with my hair up. Also, first time buyers can get their first pair completely free! Ok, how can anyone pass up an offer like that? Literally all you have to pay for is the postage. I seriously recommend these babies, they'll be lasting me for a good 5 years I reckon.

P.S. MY HAIR WENT GREEN. OH NO.

So far I've blogged, had tea, had cake (chocolate with gnash and crushed crunchie on top), planned my christmas list (i really want a neon yellow satchel from the cambridge satchel company and the agyness dean doc martens [the strappy ones]) done a bit/ a lot of internet shopping and watched The Big Bang Theory. Well until next time amigos!

What I've been up to...

A month into my Drama A Level and I genuinely think I might already be dead//Hippy day at college//Biscuits, French and TV on a lazy Sunday//My gorgeous puppy, Brodie//Didn't realise how many earrings I actually own...//R.I.P my poor phone that I dropped down the toilet//Procrastinating in it's best form//Vain and I know it (lul)//Suicide Awareness Day
[Follow me @instamillie]

I am a crazy, ridiculous, unbelievable, horrible amount of sorry. I've tried so hard to post, literally every week I get dressed up and then remember why I haven't posted in so long (nearly a month, I know, I'm ashamed). My sister lost her memory card for her SLR around the time I last posted and since then we've been unable to take any photos I'd be proud to upload, and I don't want to go back to my old phone pics.

My life feels like a constant list at the moment. College, college, college, work, homework, college, think about cars, college, college, work, TV, college. How did my life get so hectic?! I've made an unkeepable decision to go on a spending ban because there is so much I want that I feel like I'm already broke before I've spent anything! So, I've decided to save it all for my car fund. This could take me a lonnnnnnnnggg time!! Ho wellz, I'm not promising anything.

You have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve

Hi everyone, bit of a life related post today, I just thought it's time that you deserved to know a little bit about me since you've all been so kind to follow my blog. I'm so sorry for the recent absence - I don't really have an excuse, just that life got in the way and I was forcing myself to be inspired by other things. However I have been unable to resist spending forever in the early hours of the morning piecing together outfits for college that I think reflect my personality and I'm really proud of myself for wearing them because some pieces are a bit out of my comfort zone and I have to put real effort into showing up in a gypsy skirt, massive peplum top or heeled boots (see my last post here) and for me, it's an achievement, because when I wear those more risky pieces I get so many compliments on them which makes me feel tonnes more confident and makes me want to do it again!  I've discovered that college is the place to experiment with your style, most people don't care so if you wear something that perhaps looks a bit weird, so who gives a damn?

Meeting new people is taking over a little bit as well, I didn't expect everyone to be so lovely! I feel like I've known these people for months, years, rather than 2 weeks. I generally consider myself to be quite awkward in front of new people, however I think I've judged myself too soon, it is brilliant being able to share genuine laughs  with so many people that 2 weeks ago I would have never approached.

I like my work, I really do, the people there are so nice and I don't even mind working such ridiculous hours (10 hours next week!!) as long as I get to watch doctor who with a hot water bottle when I get home. I sometimes think that customers don't really see people that work in shops or even restaurants as real people. A lot of them, you can tell, just see you as a machine to give them their change, however there are also lots of good people out there. There are those who come in to buy the paper with £20 who simply want a chat or those who are genuinely interested in that Guilfest wristband that you've been wearing for 2 months or that your sister loves Moshi monsters too or that you love to paint. My point is that the good people are often overlooked and it's not fair. If you have 50% nice customers in one day and 50% not so nice ones, you'll say that most of the customers weren't nice because they're the ones that you remember. Please don't forget the nice people because they're the ones that won't forget you. Don't hang on to the memory of those who see you as dirt that's gone within a second.

Life is a bit hectic at the moment because I'm still getting into the habit of waking up so early and getting home so late. It's tiring. When I first started my blog I had all the time in the world as I'd just left school and my only responsibilities were to make sure my bagel didn't burn in the toaster. Now I consider my blog as another responsibility as you've all taken the time to follow my blog, I ought to deliver. Hopefully I will get back into it soon. I promise to come back with a bang. Give me a few days, a week tops and my blog will be back to it's old self.

I hope that gave you a little bit of insight into my life and the backstage work of my blog, which I do love and put so much effort into. If there's anything you want to know, seriously, just ask!

OUTFIT #26: I swear I'll behave

Top - H&M
Trousers - Primark
Bowler Hat - Vintage
Jeffrey Campbell Lita Spike (!!!)
I finally own the Lita Spikes!! They are soo beautiful and I actually made a video of myself opening them but I can't figure out how to edit it...or upload it. Why am I allowed near technology again? I've also decided that I want to buy two other pairs, one that's just one colour, so it adds a pop of colour or clashes with an outfit, and one that's patterned (like the cosmic or tartan) to really create the outfit. Although obviously this won't be for quite a while!! 15 days until payday everywunnnn

Which Litas do you think I should get next?

Please give my blog a quick follow as it means the world to me!

OUTFIT #25: will you watch over me?

Kimono - Vintage
Top - H&M probably
Skirt - Forever 21
Boots - Asos
Necklaces - DIY and Venice
This is one of my more adventurous outfits. Did you ever see Spirited Away? It's a Chinese Animé  movie about a little girl who finds a world filled with monsters, some of whom are friendly and some are evil. Then a dragon turns into a river, I feel like that today.

Also featured in todays post is my first attempt of a beehive which I learnt from watching Cherry Dollface on Youtube, who is just the epitome of perfect. Her videos are super fun and easy, however I just don't feel like this look really suits me and I don't think I'll be trying it again - even though it looks freaking awesome on Olivia! Let me know what you think of it!

If you like my blog please give it a quick follow as it means the world to me!

OUTFIT #24: I'm just keeping the night young

Shirt - probably M&S?
Blazer - H&M
(Work) Trousers - Primark
Wedges - Primark
Bowler hat - vintage
Hey, a suit - that's different! I wore this to Connie's dress up birthday party last night as Barack Obama (inside joke) and put on these cutsiiiie wedges for a burst of cool colour. I used to think suits were so manly and just not right on girls, but then I paired these two pieces together and fell in lurrrrrve!! I really want one that's a deep purple with orangey-reddy autumn leaves, I think that would look so perfect for the coming months.

I start college tomorrow and I'm expecting it to be a whirlwind of awkward, wish me luck!

If you like my blog please give it a quick follow as it means the world to me!
